Terra Dumas

Terra learned the love of gardening from her mom, who could always seem to make a garden grow. In 2008 she left her teaching career and set off to Maine to learn the art of farming. Upon her return to Buffalo in 2011 she helped found the Farmer Pirates Cooperative and started Common Roots Urban Farm. Terra now lives just a few doors from the farm with her dogs Bear and Bones. If she’s not out in field tending to her crops you may also see her slinging compost with the Farmer Pirates Compost Crew.
